Here at Malswick House we’re committed to cutting down on our food miles, and endeavour to make the most of our great local produce wherever possible. See below for details of some of our fantastic regional suppliers.
Bentley’s Castle Fruit Farm
Newent, Gloucestershire, 3.5 miles
Tasty juice pressed from prime, sweet fruit, grown in orchards at Newent. Bottles of this famous Gloucestershire juice can also be purchased at The Wharf House.
Three Choirs Vineyard
Newent, Gloucestershire, 3.2 miles
Dubbed one of England’s leading single estate vineyards, Three Choirs Vineyard boasts 75 acres of vines and a modern, purpose-built winery in nearby Newent. It produces a small number of award-winning wines, selecting varieties which ‘grow well and give grapes of the highest possible quality’.

We’re passionate about wine at Malswick House and every variety which makes its way onto our wine list has been given the taste test (it’s a hard job…). What’s more, all our wines are sourced direct from expert importers to secure the best quality product and value for our customers.
Farming and cheesemaking have been a way of life for the Appleby family for several generations. Their cheesemaking has changed little since it began in 1952 and the Cheshire variety is particularly good with a moist and crumbly texture, and a flavour which is clean, zesty and rich.
Fentimans was estalbished in 1905 and is famous for its ‘botanically brewed beverages’ – a simple process involving herbs and plant roots to create invigorating and full-flavoured drinks, including traditional ginger beer.
The Swaledale Cheese Company
It’s thought that cheese making was first brought to the Yorkshire Dales in the 11th century by Cistercian monks who arrived from Normandy and settled in the local abbeys. They in turn passed on the cheese making techniques to the local farmers of Swaledale and thus, Swaledale cheese was born.

At Malswick House we only use the rarer dark roast – not available to members of the public and rarely used by other establishments – which boasts a deeper, more unique flavour.
